Spiced Up Classic Baked Chicken

Hmmmm….. just reading the title makes me hungryyyy.

This is absolutely delicious and all you will be needing are the following:

  • Whole Chicken
  •  Spices
    • Turmeric
    • Cayenne Pepper
    • Spanish Paprika
    • Salt
  • Butter or Olive oil (or both)

Now the magic begins.

STEP 1: Cleaning

We will start everything by cleaning our chicken. Place your chicken under running tap water (preferably in a plate or bowl so that it would be easier) for about 1 minute while rubbing it. Drain the water and start rubbing the chicken all over with some rock salt (This will help to clean it even more and remove the remaining dirt). After rubbing your chicken with salt, rinse it with warm water. You could try to drip down the remaining water that is staying on the chicken

Yay. Now we have a clean chicken.

STEP 2: Spicing things up

3…. 2…. 1…. Spice! Spice! SPICE!!!!

Get the bowl or container you will be cooking your chicken and place the chicken inside.

Now, get all you spices and sprinkle it, according to your taste, on top. I put more of the turmeric and Cayenne Pepper (because I love spicyy). Now once you have put your desired amount of spices on top, flip the chicken and put your spices here as well. All you have to do next is rub it everywhere. You could also add your own spices. Like, rosemary or other herbs.

STEP 3: Last Ingredients


On both side of the chicken drizzle on some Olive or you could just the chicken with butter. I also put butter inside the chicken but that’s optional.

STEP 4: Cooking

Turn on the heat of your stove (or even a broiler), poke your chicken all around with a fork and start baking the chicken. Every now and then check on your chicken to see if its skin is getting brown and crunchy. When this happens, flip the chicken and continue to cook.


Time to eattt.

When you take your chicken out, you could cut it up or poke it to see if blood will come out, if not you are ready to eat! Enjoy!!
